URJA AWARDS are given to mainly to those extraordinary Women who effectively participated in Social life and being Leader herself, she fought against all odds of her life.

Gravittus Foundation has a deep sense and understands that women now a days have to learn, rise and be a active part of various aspects of society. It is necessary to end all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere.ensuring women full and efficient participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision making in political economical and public life will play an important role in empowering all women and girls.

Keeping them in mind Gravittus Foundation organized programs such as ‘Change makers’ and ‘Urja Forum’. Programs like ‘Femina India Run for a Cause’ helped to orient citizens the importance to adopt and strengthen sound policies and enforce legislation for the promotion of gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls at all levels. Gravittus Foundations also organized programs like ‘Safe Touch Unsafe Touch’ and ‘Domestic violence program’ to understand how measures can be taken to eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other type of exploitation, also measures to eliminate all harmful practices such as child, early and forced marriages and female genital.

URJA AWARDS 2024

The Sixth Edition of the Urja award ceremony was held in the Pune City. Dr. Mandakini Amte of Hemalakasa from Gadchiroli, co-founder of the Lokbiradari Prakalp, was conferred the Urja Lifetime Achievement Award by Gravittus Foundation Pune. The award distribution took place in the presence of like Dr. Baba Adhaav, along with senior social activist Dr. Prakash Amte, Pro-Chancellor of Symbiosis International University, Dr. Vidya Yerwadekar, former MP Sanjay Kakade, actress Divya Sheth, President of Gravittus Foundation Usha Kakade, and advisor and senior journalist Arun Khore.
